Current Topics in RNA Biology Hurtigruta – MS Finnmarken: Trondheim – Tromsø

I am happy to invite you to participate in an exceptional scientific meeting in functional genomics (FUGE), especially designed for researchers from Northern Norway.

The meeting, named “Current Topics in RNA Biology” will be arranged September 27-29 on hurtigruten “MS Finnmarken” from Trondheim to Tromsø (departure Trondheim Saturday Sept. 27 at 12:00; arrival Tromsø Monday Sept 29 at 14:30). See our poster announcement at www.RNA.no 

There will be 11 invited speakers, all experts in their fields. The biology covers human diseases, marine animals, zebrafish, fungi, bacteria – all presenting different stories related to the new and exciting development in RNA biology. Speakers include Hans Krokan (NTNU), - received the 2008 national cancer research prize; Bernard Dujon (CNRS-Paris), - coordinator of the yeast genome project; Sidney Altman (Yale-USA), - Noble Prize winner in chemistry, catalytic RNA; and many other great scientific names: Benoit Masquida (CNRS-Strasbourg); Henrik Nielsen (Univ Copenhagen); Pascale Romby (CNRS-Strasbourg); Mouldy Sioud (Radium Hospital-Oslo); Eric Thompson (Sars-Bergen); Anders Fjose (Univ Bergen); Renee Schroeder (Univ Vienna); Ebbe Sloth-Andersen (Univ Aarhus). - Indicate: Name, Affiliation/ institution, and year of birth (latter is a requirement from the Hurtigruten Group)
- Indicate if you prefer a single or double cabin (different ratings)
- Indicate if you want to present a poster (poster abstract would be fine)

Limited number of participants! It is very important to register as early as possible

The fees cover:
travel-ticket Trondheim-Tromsø (2 days) by ‘MS Finnmarken’
Cabin for 2 days; single or double
All meals (2 x breakfast; 3 x lunch; 2 x dinner)

Fee-rate pr. person is: 3.900,- Nkr in single cabin, or 3.300,- Nkr in double cabin. However, all participants are offered reduced prices due to financial support. (The different categories of participants are due to restrictions in the support).

· Double cabin: 2.300,- Nkr


PhD students at the PhD school in Molecular and structural Biology
· Double cabin: 1.900,- Nkr


Other regular participants:
· Single cabin: 3.400,- Nkr

· Double cabin: 2.800,- Nkr



Registrated participants will receive a fee payment-form from the University in Tromsø - IMB. Binding registration.
